For your piece of mind and safety, Air Italy in partnership with Chartis Europe S.A., has introduced the possibility of including travel insurance during the flight purchasing process.
In this way, with one simple gesture, you can travel without having to worry about anything!

Here are some examples of situations covered by the MULTIRISK insurance policy:

  • You may have to cancel a flight due to a sudden illness. Chartis Europe S.A. will reimburse the pre-paid non-reimbursable amount of your airline ticket!
  • You may have to cut your trip short e return home due to an emergency, like a sudden illness, making you lose the rest of the pre-paid amount of your airline ticket and obligating you to pay the cost for the change of the return date of your airline ticket.
  • Your luggage could get lost, be delivered late or stolen, obligating you to buy extra clothes, indispensable items or even medicinal prescriptions.
  • You could be obligated to evacuate the place your staying in due to unexpected climatic conditions which may mean abandoning your trip.
  • You could be blocked due to the loss of important travel documents like your passport.

Please read some important information below:

  • The insurance is presented automatically during the purchasing process of the flight: you can choose whether to purchase it or not simply by clicking the control key.
  • Purchasing the airline ticket and the travel insurance is done with one process which means inserting your credit card data only once. To guarantee maximum transparency, you will find two different debits on your credit card statement: one for the Air Italy airline ticket and the other one for the purchase of the Chartis Europe S.A. insurance.
  • To date, the purchase of the flight plus the insurance is possible only with VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards. If you do not have a VISA or MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS you can purchase the airline ticket anyway, but you will not be able to include the travel insurance.

  • The travel insurance is always reimbursable at any time before the flight. Please contact the Chartis Europe S.A. assistance number, +39 02 91483370, for any needs or further information.
  • It is not possible to purchase insurance on flights from/to Cuba and on trips with departures abroad: in these cases you will not find the possibility to purchase the policy when choosing your flight.
  • • The price of travel insurance per person is 12 € for domestic flights, 16 € for flights in Europe and 45 € for international flights.
