ISO QUALITY
UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION
On 29 February 2008 Air Italy S.p.a. reached an important target: UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification of its quality management system.
The certifying body, SGS Italia s.p.a., certified conformity with the standard ISO 9001:2000 of the activities involved with the “design and delivery of onboard services on national, international and intercontinental charter flights".
Air Italy believes that the concept of quality should be attributed first of all to the services provided and to the processes that govern the same. That is why the Management, represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Captain Giuseppe Gentile, has established the Quality Policy, adopting all the necessary measures to ensure that it is accepted, upheld, applied and verified by every member of the company.
The main aim of Air Italy’s quality policy is the improvement of customer services.
For Air Italy every single customer is an invaluable resource and satisfying customers’ requirements is a duty that must not be shirked.
For this reason Air Italy is committed to:
- making customer requirements "its own";
- acting in full compliance with current national, international and intercontinental standards and laws;
- constantly monitoring company processes through internal audits;
- improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality System;
- increasing company know-how both through the training of human resources and the use of state-of-the-art technologies;
- encouraging the involvement of all company staff with a view to "Total Quality".
Air Italy thrives on its constant aim to progress. The next goals will be to extend certification to the before- and after-flight services, to the low-cost scheduled flights and to the airlines belonging to the Air Italy group: Air Italy Polska and Air Italy Egypt (Euromediterranean).
